A webshop that finally connects brand and shoppers

A visit to isabella's patisserie feels cozy, trustworthy and high-quality. The online store now does too.

Objective

Rework the existing online shop to match modern standards and more connected to the brand.
After the relaunch the shop is operated by isabella patisserie.

From a designer's point of view, there was no doubt that the old shop needed a complete overhaul. In order to make better design decisions, I had to determine the online target groups.

I spent hours in the two locations in Düsseldorf to get the best possible understanding of the shoppers, sellers and the vibe of the shops.

Additionally i did a deep dive into the shops fractured data and more importantly their instagram community. This helped me to get a feel of good performing products, topics and gather as much insights as i could.

Solution

Customers with coeliac disease literally put their lives in the hands of Isabella and her bakers, because even the smallest impurities can have fatal consequences. Safety, trust and quality are important values for their customers, as well as great taste, enjoyment and exclusivity.

The unique story behind Isabella and her family plays an essential role in marketing the patisserie. This was an open secret, which was confirmed by the family themselves as well as my research. For this reason, in the first quarter of the relaunch, great attention was paid to the content of the family.
